Armed Bandits have again attacked Jabgebe Community, killed two Persons, injured two, cart away five motorcycles, and rustled an unspecified number of Cattle.
279 female students of Government Day Secondary School in the same Community were abducted on February 26th last year. They were however released five days later.
Jabgebe is located in Talata Mafara Local Government Area in the western part of the state.
The Gunmen stormed the community Tuesday night at about 10:00pm with Sophisticated weapons and started shooting sporadically causing fear among residents.
A reliable source told TVC NEWS that the armed Bandits came in a large number. He says military troops keeping peace in the area engaged the bandits and repelled further attacks on the locals. He adds that the injured ones are currently receiving medical attention in an undisclosed Hospital.
Communities in Zamfara are experiencing attacks and Kidnapping for ransom since the Commencement of this year’s rainy season. Many farmers could not access their farms due to the fear of the unknown.
A development that prompted the state Governor Bello Matawalle to direct citizens to obtain firearms for self-defense against Banditry and Kidnapping.

Zamfara State Government is Currently training Community Protection Guards that will assist security agencies and locals in securing Communities against criminal activities.
