Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva has opened up on marital struggles with her husband, actor Olu Jacobs.

Silva, in an interview with popular media personality and actress, Nancy Isime, revealed that Olu Jacobs’ ailment has changed him.

Speaking on how her husband’s battle with dementia has affected their relationship, the actress reflected on their early years together.

She said: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 percent of the time is no longer there.

“But the thing is this, when he was there, he was an incredible father to his children and an amazing husband, he was practically my best friend.

“The husband I knew is no longer there for me, but this man that is here is someone I still love.”

Popular Nollywood actress, Cindy Amadi, better known for her role in the lesbian-themed movie titled, ‘Ife’, is dead.

The producers of the movie, ‘Ife’, in a statement shared on its Instagram page, made the announcement.

“We are deeply and unbelievably saddened to learn about the passing of the actress Cindy Amadi, who played Adaora in #ìféthemovie.

“We cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss her family feels right now. On behalf of our entire cast and crew, we wish her family all the comfort they need at this time.

“Rest in Peace, Cindy. You will always live on in our hearts forever. Thank you for sharing your gift with us,” they wrote.

I Rejected Mike Adenuga’s N10m Offer For Movie Role Even Though I Had Never Seen N1m –Chiwetalu Agu

He said: “Chief Mike Adenuga said, ‘what I have for you in this contract is N10 million.’ I have not seen N1 million before when he was pricing me N10 million but I refused. I said, ‘if it’s not N20 million, forget it.’

“He insisted, I insisted. So, I pretend to rise up and said, ‘give me money to go back to Enugu. If there’s any available flight, book it for me let me just quietly go back.’

“They regarded me to now being serious when I rose up. Chief Mike Adenuga said ‘sit down.’ He ordered them to bring documents for signing. They brought and I signed.

“From that moment uhuru dance started. I did it diplomatically in the office. I didn’t want them to know that N20m was a big deal [to me]. But it was the most wonderful thing [to me] at the moment.”

Veteran Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji is set to return to the movie screens after taking a break from the movie industry for five years. 

Estreet News reports that Genevieve’s comeback is via an adaptation of the critically acclaimed book “I Do Not Come To You By Chance” by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

The film tells the story of a young man who must do everything to ensure his family knows no hunger.

Set in the perilous realm of Nigerian email scams, the movie examines the lengths he will go to protect those he loves.

The prestigious Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book (Africa) and the prestigious Betty Trask First Book Award were given to Nwaubani’s literary masterpiece in 2010.

Additionally, The Washington Post’s “Best Books of the Year” list included it, which is a distinction. Nnaji works with co-executive producer Chinny Carter to bring this compelling tale to life in the movie version.

Nollywood actors, Blossom Chukwujekwu and newbie Paul Nnadiekwe both have significant roles in the cast lineup.

The last movie the 44-year-old Nollywood diva produced and starred in, was her 2018 Netflix movie, Lionheart.
